Bayswater Beach

view from parking area

Cute little beach. Not as big as I thought it would be. Lovely day park across the street next to a pond with picnic tables and grassy area.

Beautiful white sand and crystal blue water are what you see when you arrive at Bayswater. July 2022 was my first time visiting this beach. Located on the lighthouse route that turns on to the 329 from Hubbards. Its about a 15 min drive from Hubbards, 50 mins from Halifax.

A few things to mention, there was a large culvert of water flowing out to the beach. I am not sure what it was, I am guessing it is drainage from the little pond across the street. There were signs posted “poor water quality” The stream went right down the centre of the beach. I Choose to swim on the right side of the stream.

Due to the location of the beach, it was a bit colder here. It was about 10 degrees colder. I mean that happens at a lot of different beaches and is a nice relief on a day when its 32 degrees out.

I am glad I took the time to drive out here and experience the beach, however am not sure if its worth the extra 25 mins past Queensland or Hubbards beach. Great for those who live locally.

  • lots of parking
  • picnic area with outhouses across the street
  • lifeguards
  • clear blue water
  • food truck

I am a beach lover. Going to the beach is what I do best. My soul dreams of warm water waves in the winter. Diving into the salt water is healing of mind, body and soul. Standing on the edge of earth, the softest earth, as it meets the sea is magical.
