Rainbow Haven Beach November 6, 2022

Legit….. this is November 6th, 2022. Here I was sitting on my beach blanket with my daughter and my niece, looking towards the water and had to keep reminding myself it was November 6th. I was not in long pants and a sweater shivering under a blanket, dreaming of the warm June sun. I was wearing a bikini. The sun was warm, people were swimming. Not just running in and out of the water either, they were staying in the water, floating, diving under.
The beach was busy, probably busier than a late day in June. Voices were laughing, children were running and playing in the water. Beach toys were everywhere… Yup, its November 6th. Unbelievable. Amazing.
Now, I found the air crisp. I tried to swim, but the water was not summer warm, but warm enough that my younger mini me was able to stay in the water and float and play around for about a hour and not turn blue.
Was this a wonderful gift from mother nature, to give us one last dip before the long 8 months of winter set in? Or was this a sign of how much our weather is changing in our Maritime provinces. Maybe we will become balmy warm beaches all year long. Is that what is suppose to happen or are we seeing global warming at its best.
Either way, it really was a magical day. I enjoyed every minute of every warm sun ray.
