I haven’t been to the beach in the winter for a bit. I forgot what it was like to see the ice in the ocean. Breath taking. It was such a beautiful sunny day. The wind was mild but sharpe. The beauty of the beach was sharper. It was captivating. It was quiet. So very quiet. You herd nothing. The water is frozen. Not a sound. It feels like you are in a room full of padding.
Our hike along the boardwalk took about 20 mins. We could see so much destruction from hurricane Fiona. Some clean up has been done, but still so many trees that are fallen.
We also came across hundreds of bunny rabbit tracks. They were everywhere…. but we didn’t see any rabbits along our walk.
It’s hard to describe how peaceful it was.
Greenwhich National park offers beauty all year. I highly recommend a visit here in both summer and winter.
