My family purchased a little 5 acre lot with beach front access in 2011. We built a beautiful cottage and have had the pleasure of enjoying this wonderful private little oasis.

In January of 2022, my sister and I purchased the cottage from our parents. To help offset some of the expenses, we have it listed as an Airbnb. There are 2 options for rent, the larger cottage or the smaller 2 bedroom bunky. Our families have enjoyed so many summers here. It has been our place to reconnect. Its been our place to disconnect and just be in the real present moment.
Check out the links below for summer rental information.

Our shoreline is very active. It is ever changing. It’s incredible to see how powerful one storm alters the face of the beach. It can take away sand and then sometimes bring it all back. It can change monthly, the below photos were take a month apart, May, June and July summer of 2023.

Beach Point…. is literally….. the point at which you enter Murray Harbor. There is a beautiful Light house located on the point. It was used to guide ships in to the harbor. Of course like all light houses, it is no longer in operation, but it is so picture perfect. I have soo many pictures, from just about every angle possible. It actually washed away during a storm around 2010-2011 ( so the locals tell me ). It was found and restored. I love going for walks down to the lighthouse. There is something magical about it.

The shoreline is a combination of red sea cliffs that eventually change over to golden yellow/white soft sand at the end where the light house sits.
Beach point is quiet, more of a local beach. You can have a fire on beach, lots of people sea bass fish from the shoreline. Many nights throughout the summer, you will hear loud voices of people gathered around a beach fire just having a great time.

There is vast difference from one end of the beach to the other. That’s what makes this beach so fun to explore. It is ideal for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, collecting sea creatures and seal watching. The seal activity is daily, sometimes you will see anywhere from 3-25 seals.
I love to paddle board. The ocean floor is mixed bag. Some areas are pure sand, then you paddle into an area that is covered with vegetation. One evening in June of 2024, I was out for a paddle…. I must have paddled over 35-45 little baby lobsters. A little intimidating, but very cool. The beauty of standing on the board to be able to see more.

I also need to brag about the sunsets that I have experienced here. They are incredible. The sun sets over the west side of the beach… obviously … and during the summer months it falls perfectly behind the light house. These pictures are beautiful, but don’t capture experiencing the beauty of the sunsets in person. There is absolutely nothing better than sitting in the evening and enjoying a glass of wine as I watch the sunset over the lighthouse and beach. It is one the most peaceful moments I can experience. It fills me with gratitude beyond words.

I am so blessed to have this wonderful property. I am so grateful when i walk the beach. I am so thankful when I approach the steps that lead up to my backyard. It feels like a dream. I have moments when It all feels surreal.
Beach point beach is well worth the visit, tucked off the beaten path, close to a little town called Murray Harbour. It offers a little bit of everything.
