ladies of the beach

One day, as I was lounging…yes, you guessed it… at the beach…I spotted a stunning gathering of older ladies, radiating an undeniable confidence that captured my heart. To label them as “older” hardly does them justice—they were vibrant forces of nature! These incredible women exuded such energy that my morning coffee seemed a mere shadow in their presence! They embraced the powerful motto “age is just a number” with fierce pride. Their infectious laughter echoing through the air as they lay on their beach blankets, savoring snacks, swimming, and soaking up the golden sun. They embodied the very essence of “aging with confidence,” dressed in their stylish bikinis with such elegance. They are the embodiment of staying true to your spirited 16-year-old self! In that moment, I made a vow to myself: I will be someone who wholeheartedly embraces life, wearing whatever swimwear lets my fabulous self shine, whether it’s a bikini, a tankini, or even my grandma’s cherished one-piece that doubles as a buoy! Yes, we all have those “I look like a potato” moments, or I feel too old to wear this, but never let that stop you from enjoying the things that you love the most.

So… salute to all the ladies, young and old… embrace yourselves and never stop yourselves from wearing a bathing suit.

I am a beach lover. Going to the beach is what I do best. My soul dreams of warm water waves in the winter. Diving into the salt water is healing of mind, body and soul. Standing on the edge of earth, the softest earth, as it meets the sea is magical.
